Jesus is our model for how to have s close personal relationship with God. Even though Jesus was the Son of God, he left his divine rights in heaven to humble himself and become a human being. Jesus was totally dependant on wisdom and direction from his Father and the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill his mission. Just like us.

Jesus depended on daily time alone with his Father in heaven to discern what God wanted him to teach and when/where to minister healing, deliverance, etc. Just like us.

If we want to discover God’s will for our lives, we need to spend time alone in conversation with him.

When we spend time alone with God, we move closer to the point where we want our lives to be wholly dedicated to God. All of us are on different stages of the journey, and it is that close communion with him that motivates us to want to be even closer to him. When the most important thing to us is to do God's will and live for God, then we will experience God's blessing and he will give us the desires of our heart - and that will be in line with what he wants, and he will use us to accomplish his purposes.
