Why would Holy Communion be any different from virtually every other tenet of the Christian Faith? 1Cor 10:16 Salvation; is it permanent at inception or can it be tried on only to find that it doesn't fit, and returned for no refund or store credit since it was a gift? Ephesians 2:9,10. Grace; is this the carnal believer's get-out-of-jail-free card when the believer sins, or is it God's way of reconciliation for a species that is so foreign to righteousness, that without it (grace), eternal death would be the only alternative? Rom 5:12-17 Predestination; is this the process God decided on for the purpose of demonstrating His awesome wisdom, power, love, and purpose toward the people whom He chose to show His everlasting love for, or is it just a misunderstood Christian value? Does it have anything to do with being saved? Rom 8:29 Baptism; is baptism in a pool of water necessary to be forgiven of sin, or can you be forgiven and fitted for the heavenly sky without it? Is sprinkling water over one's head enough, or is total emersion in water mandatory for eternal life? Mark 16:16..? The Law of Moses; are we still obligated to keep/obey The Law to be in a relationship with Jehovah, or did the Lord Jesus Christ free us from the curse of the law when He sacrificed His life on the cross? Was His shed blood enough to pay the sin debt of mankind, or is a holy cocktail of law and grace mixture necessary? Rom 6:10 Controversy is the running mate of the truth. There's only one righteous answer to each of the questions asked above. Opinion is a main ingredient of controversy. We have a guarantee from the Lord that His word will be established regardless of the fact that we have a different way of thinking than He does. Isaiah 55:8-11.
