I personally take a pre-tribulational approach to eschatology. From that perspective, here is the order of end-times events that the Bible reveals: 1. The rapture of the church. Christ comes in the...

This is a interesting question and I believe the bible does show the time line of events. There two books in the bible that get into great detail about the end times and there are others books in the bible but the books Daniel and Revelation are the books we should read and study to know and understand the times we are living in and we need the Holy Spirit in order to be guided into all truth. In Daniel chapter 2 Nebuchadnezzar has a dream and couldn't remember the dream he had and he calls all is sorcerers and astrologers in because he was troubled by the dream. He told them to tell him the dream and the interpretation with him knowing what he dreamed. (I know sounds crazy!) so of course they couldn't do it and Nebuchadnezzar threaten to kill them and all the prophets in Babylon which includes Daniel and his friends. In Daniel 2:14 it says that "Daniel answered with, counsel and wisdom" and Daniel ask for time so that he can show the king the interpretation. So Daniel prayed and in Daniel 2:19 it says "then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision". I used to always wonder why did the king give Daniel time and not is own astrologers time, it is because of what happen in Daniel 1:18-20 (Interesting!). So God revealed the dream to Daniel and starting in Daniel 2:25-45 Daniel tells him what he dreamed and also the interpretation. I like what Daniel said in verse 45 "the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure." Now notice what King Nebuchadnezzar does in verse 46 and 47. He start to realize God is the true God who Daniel worshiped. Now lets look at the dream. First of all look at verse 28 Daniel gives all the credit to God and then says "there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days" or you can say in the "end" days. So here is the dream. Please read it as well for your own personal reading. He dreams a statue having different kinds of metals from head to toe. First: Head of Gold Second: Chest and arms of Silver Third:Belly and Thighs of Brass Fourth: Legs of Iron Fifth: Feet of part iron and part clay Then a stone smote the image "and brake them to pieces." Verse 34 and "became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors, and the wind carried them away.." Daniel 2:35 So each of these represent a kingdom. How do I know? The bible is clear: Daniel 2:38 "Thou art this head of gold" so King Nebuchadnezzar is the head of gold. Then the silver is another kingdom, the brass is another, the iron is another, the part iron & part clay are also kingdoms, and of course the stone is a kingdom as well. So the question is where are we in this dream? Here is the sequence for the sake of time. Please read and study this on your own. Also Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 goes together. Daniel 7 has more detail and instead of metals in Daniel 2 it uses animals. Please read and study this and then in Daniel 8 it has more details and also Daniel 11. As Daniel receives visions he is given more details than the previous vision. Babylon - 605 B.C. Medo-Persia - 539 B.C. Greece - 331 B.C. Rome - 168 B.C. Divided Rome - 538 A.D. Second Coming of Jesus - Nobody knows the day or hour Matt 24:36 still future As you can see we are definitely nearing the Second Coming of Jesus. But to get more understanding of the end times and the Second Coming of Jesus we must study Daniel 8:14 which says "Unto two thousand and three hundred days, then shall the sanctuary be cleansed" this is the longest time prophecy in the bible and a lot of people don't understand it. We must let the bible explain itself and have the Holy Spirit guidance on what this means. I am not going to explain it right now, but I wanted to show based on Daniel 2 what is the end time line. There are more details but this has to be understood first. May God bless you on your study
I subscribe to the mid tribulation theory. This theory would generally recognize the following order except for minor differences. 1) THE GREAT APOSTASY/FALLING AWAY This precedes the revelation of the Antichrist. I believe the present church age is already deep into this season by reason of counterfeit Christianity. The Bible reveals in 2Thessalonians 2:1-3 that the coming of the Lord and the gathering together into Him [rapture] shall not arise until two significant events occur: the falling away and the man of sin is revealed. 2) THE COMING OF THE ANTICHRIST The details of this event have already been described above. 3) THE GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD This period is described in great detail in Matthew 24. Daniel 9:24-27 reveals that the Antichrist will enter into a seven year peace agreement with the Jews and that he will break it midway when he shall bring an end to the temple sacrifice and offering. This suggests that the third temple shall have been rebuilt by then, perhaps during the first three and a half years of the peace agreement. My view is that the church will definitely see the Antichrist. If this is not the case, why is he described in such fine detail? This evil man will persecute the Church for a season permitted by God before the rapture takes place. This persecution is definitely not the wrath of God but is the wrath of Satan. Again God permits it for His own glory. Thereafter Satan is thrown out of heaven for the second and final time. This time he is eternally excluded from accessing the presence of God! Satan knew that he had limited time and he viciously goes against the church. He is described in Rev. 12:12 as coming down to the earth, having great wrath, knowing that he had a short time to do his business. 4) THE COMING OF CHRIST/RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH This comes in the midst of the great persecution following the coming of the Antichrist and his system. This enemy of God's people will severely persecute believers and target the nation of Israel. God will snatched away the church in the midst of this intense persecution and at a time He has appointed. The rapture is described in 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 and in Revelation 14 where two simultaneous harvests are recorded. Rev. 14:14-16 describes the rapture while Rev. 14:17-20 is dedicated to the judgment of God over the wicked. 5) THE POURING OF THE WRATH OF GOD Once the church is taken away, God will pour His wrath on the enemies of God. The seven bowls described in Revelation. This is described in Rev. 15-16. The wrath of God is NEVER directed at His saints! 6) THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB This follows in Revelation 19:6-11. Only the redeemed of Christ have access to the marriage feast. Christ marries His church in an elaborate and joyous ceremony and thereafter rides a white horse to do final battle with Satan and the Antichrist. 7) SATAN IS BOUND & MILLENNIUM REIGN OF CHRIST Rev 20:1-6 describes the binding of Satan for 1000 years and Christ reigns from Jerusalem with His saints. 8) THE DEFEAT AND JUDGMENT OF SATAN, THE ANTICHRIST AND THE FALSE PROPHET In Rev 20:7-10, Satan is briefly loosed and proceeds to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth. The nation of Gog and Magog to gather for the battle of Armageddon. He is ultimately defeated following his attempt to invade the Holy Land. This passage relates to Ezekiel 38-39 and Zechariah 14. Satan is ultimately thrown into the lake of fire, where the beast and the false prophet was already in. 9) THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT Rev 20:11-15 describes the judgment of the great white throne in which the wicked are cast into the lake of fire to join Satan, the beast and the false prophet who were already cast there (See Rev. 20:10). 10) THE FINAL ETERNAL STATE OF LIFE IN HEAVEN The eternal state of life in the newly created heaven is described in Rev 21:9-22:5. This is the final eternal bliss in the presence of God.
1. I hold to a Post-Tribulation view, so I believe the Rapture of the Church is just after the binding of Satan. 2. “The Day of the Lord” is the time in which all of God’s Wrath takes place. It is defined by the 2300 days in Daniel 8:13-14. It is 2.8 years in duration and comes after the Tribulation. See: https://ebible.com/questions/14490-what-is-the-prophecy-of-2-300-days-in-daniel#answer-24729 Or: https://ebible.com/questions/15774-what-does-the-day-of-the-lord-in-thessalonians-refer-to#answer-25009 Or: https://ebible.com/questions/1630-what-is-the-day-of-the-lord#answer-18026 3. The Battle of Gog and Magog, to me, seems to be descriptive of Armageddon. 4. The judgment of the nations takes place at the end of the Day of the Lord, so it is just before the Millennial Kingdom. Specifically, this is the order I hold to: 1. The rise of the Antichrist. (The Dome of the Rock is destroyed) 2. The Tribulation. (The Abomination of Desolation is set up at the midpoint). 3. The binding of Satan. 4. The rapture of the Church. 5. The Day of the Lord. (The Great Day of God’s Wrath). 6. The judgment of the nations. 7. The Millennial Kingdom. 8. The last battle. 9. The Great White Throne Judgment. 10. The new creation. I have written a book entitled, “The Rapture and the Last Seven Years” that explains everything in detail. It is an e-book, available on Amazon. I should also say that I have a much more detailed sequence of events occurring during the Tribulation. It comes from what I believe to be an incorrect interpretation of Dan. 11:20. Jay Vernon McGee ascribed Antiochus III to this verse, as does everyone else, to my knowledge. And like everyone else, Jay Vernon McGee ascribes Dan. 11:21 to Antiochus Epiphanes (IV). Not so. Verse twenty is Antiochus Epiphanes (IV), which makes verse twenty-one the turning point from past to future, and the contemptable person in Dan. 11:21 is the Antichrist. This gives rise to a whole new level of detailed sequential events occurring in the Tribulation. See: https://ebible.com/questions/15659-will-the-prophecy-in-daniel-11-35-be-fulfilled-before-or-after-the-millennial-kingdom#answer-24717 You can find four figures on my FB Author’s page that show an Overview (Fig.3) of the Church Age, the Tribulation, the Day of the Lord, and the Millennium. Figure 10 shows the relationship of the Tribulation (Daniel’s Seventieth Week) to the Day of the Lord. Figure 12 shows the details of the Rapture relative to the last half of the Tribulation, and the judgment at the end of the Day of the Lord. And Figure 11 shows the detailed sequence of events, beginning with the destruction of the Dome of the Rock, and leading up to and including the Sixth Seal which occurs after the Tribulation (Daniel’s Seventieth Week), but just before the Rapture. 4004 B.C. + 2020 C.E.= 6024. The next Year of Jubilee will be when the elect enters into the Kingdom That would be 6028 (All time) or 2024 C.E. If the Abomination is set up on or around Nov 23 2020 then my calculations are correct. As for the tribulation, look around the world as of June 22, 2020 it has already begun, but this is just something light compared to what is to come. And if something does happen around Nov 23, our Savior will be here sometime between 2023 and 2024.
You have asked for a timeline to when Christ returns. The Lord gave John revelation to the children of God about what must take place before Christ returns. As to the timeline, it is based in how you interpret Revelation. Read and study Revelation, asking the Lord to give you understanding. Ask no one to explain it to you other than the Lord. You do not want to be taught by men but by God. As it is written in 1 John 2: But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
