10 of the 12 tribes of Israel have been lost to history, with only Benjamin and Judah remaining known (these 2 alone make up what we call the Jewish people) ... for centuries people have tried to come up with data establishing where the other 10 tribes migrated to after being exiled ... some reports have that certain of the tribes headed north into Europe where they settled in the French/German area, while some moved on further to settle in the lands of Great Britain, possibly Scotland (it is possible that Jeremiah fled to the Scotland along with one of the princesses of Judah, from which the royals of Britain descend) ... a new study has linked the Cherokee people of the Carolinas with the people of Israel...

the truth is that no one really knows what became of the tribes after the exile ... except for God the Father, who sent His only begotten Son to call and shepherd the lost sheep of the house of Israel... and Jesus says that His sheep know His voice and when He calls them they will come to Him from out of the fields...

at the time of the end, the angel sent by Christ to John on Patmos, told of 144,000 (12,000 from each tribe) virgin males who will stand with Christ and who always follow His lead, like sheep to a great shepherd
