Alfred, you've asked a very central question about the last times! (What will the end days be like?)

2 Timothy 3:1:

NKJV - 1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 has the answer! ([1] “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: [2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, [4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NKJV):

Warren Wiersbe says this about 2 Timothy 3:2 --

“'Disobedient to parents' suggests that this apostasy reaches into the family. Children are 'unthankful' and do not appreciate what their parents have done for them. They are 'unholy' in their attitude toward their parents. 'Honor thy father and thy mother' is not widely taught or respected."

I would like to say this about 2 Timothy 3:4:

"Lovers of pleasure more than God,
For you He suffered pain;
Swearers, for you He spilt his blood;
And shall He bleed in vain?" -- Charles Wesley

"“Lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God' does not suggest that we must choose between pleasure and God, for when we live for God, we enjoy the greatest pleasures (Psalm 16:11 -- this is a prayer to God, "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."). The choice is between loving pleasure and loving God. If we love God, we will also enjoy fullness of life here and forever, but the pleasures of sin can only last for a brief time (Heb. 11:25). No one can deny that we live in a pleasure-mad world; but these pleasures too often are just shallow entertainment and escape; they are not enrichment and true enjoyment." --Warren Wiersbe

Harold Wilmington outlines the first 5 of 7 signs of the end times:

Seven Signs of the Times
1 Departure from the faith 1 Tim.4:1
2 Disobedience to parents 2 Tim.3:2
3 Despisers of good 2 Tim.3:2
4 Devotion to pleasure 2 Tim.3:4
5 Denial of the power of godliness 2 Tim.3:5
