I Believe that after 3 days, after dying on the cross and buried, his Spirit was once again alive! All of this was foretold in the Old Testament.
He approached the women and they did not know HIM and went to the Grave and saw 2 Angels and they said something like this:
The One you seek is not here he is risen. They then saw the burial cloths and ran out saying HE is Risen
They saw the man who spoke to them saying have you seen our teacher?
Jesus said Mary do you not recognize me? They did then "Do not touch Me!
I have not yet ascended!'

Jesus' spirit never died. "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. I Pet 3:18"
