There is no bible documentation that Christians were honoring God on Sunday the 1st day of the week. Some, by mistake, use (Acts 20:7) Saturday sunset (day changes sunset to sunset in bible times) meeting and (1 Corinthians 16:2) gathering of money on Sunday as examples of early Christians Changing from God's 7th day Sabbath to Sunday the 1st day of the week. "Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine:" "We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea, (AD 336) Transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." Since there doesn't appear to be a consensus as to what day of the week is actually the 7th day Sabbath, Sunday versus Saturday, maybe with people having to work all days of the week, i.e. nurses, firemen, police, doctors, etc., that we work 6 days and take the 7th day off and rest. No matter what day of the weeks it is.

Peace and truth be with all those in Christ Jesus The Sabbath and the first day "Christ Jesus' resurrection" are two different days, yea no one changed it. The Sabbath day is the 7th day, and our Lord Christ's Resurrection is the "why" believers meet on the first day. It's very clear in scripture they are two separate days, JESUS IS LORD

"One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind." Romans 14:5. Simply answering the question. No, the Catholic Church didn't change the Sabbath to Sunday, no one did. Gentile christians, not being Jewish, knowing nothing of the law, began meeting on the first day of the week. Many believe that was based upon the day of the resurrection of our Lord. Paul actually gathered many times on the first day of the week with gentiles, which makes perfect sense because Paul was Jewish and was at the Synagogue on the Sabbath. Thus, ""And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them..." Acts 20:7.

Isn't every day a day you should worship Jesus because all power was given to Him? If we are still under the Law, then the day should be the first day of the week. But since I am under GRACE I worship Jesus everyday. Eph. 2:8.
