By saying Jesus is Prince of Peace is to say that Jesus is the "New Solomon".

Solomon, his name means "the peaceful one", makes peace with the neighboring nations by marrying their princesses. He had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines. He is getting married almost every week! Jesus also marries himself, this time to the Church, unlike Solomon in a polygamous way, but in a monogamous way. The Church becomes the bride of Christ.

God told David that He will be a father to David's son (2 Samuel 7:11-16). In the same way, Joseph became a father to Jesus. It's a divine drama - God adopts Man, Man adopts God.

Solomon is the one who builds the first temple and he does it in 7 years. Jesus rebuilds the temple in 3 days.

Every day I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and I ask Jesus, the Prince of Peace, to bring it about. He's the only One who can bring in the Kingdom of Peace, which won't cease. It seems to me that Israel is always fighting. Jesus can bring Israel peace like a river, a peace that passes understanding, and a peace that is not like the world gives.

Elllicott says, “Prince of Peace.” The prophet clings, as all prophets before him had done, to the thought that peace, and not war, belonged to the ideal Kingdom of the Messiah. That hope had been embodied by David in the name of Absalom (“father of peace“) and Solomon. It had been uttered in the prayer of Psalm 72:3, and by Isaiah’s contemporary, Micah (Micah 5:5).

Earth-powers, like Assyria and Egypt, might rest in war and conquest as an end, but the true king, though warfare might be needed to subdue his foes (Psalm 45:5), was to be a “Prince of Peace” (Zechariah 9:9-10). Warren Wiersbe says, "God had promised David that his dynasty and throne would be established forever (2 Sam. 7:16), and this is fulfilled literally in Jesus Christ (Luke 1:32-33; Zech. 9:9), who will one day reign from Jerusalem (Isa. 11:1-5; Jer. 23:5-8; 30:8-10). This kingdom is called 'the millennium,' which means 'one thousand years.' The phrase is used six times in Revelation 20." Another commentator adds, "All warlike accoutrements shall be destroyed, as no longer required in the new era of peace (Is 2:4, 11:6-7; Ps 46:9; Ez 39:9; Mic 5:5, 10; Zec 9:9-10)."

I have seen this sign in farmers fields along the highway. It says, “No God, no peace. Know God, know peace.”

Since we know we have eternal life, First John 5:13, that gives us peace. We still have tribulation in this life. We have been given the GIFT of God, eternal life. John 3:18. We know we are going to heaven whenever we die because Jesus paid our sin debt in full and we can no longer be condemned.

Every sin we have ever committed and every sin we will commit in the future has already been paid for. Romans 4:7-8.

Ephesians 1:13-14 Our guarantee of eternal life. John 6:47. God can not lie. John 6:40.

The word "prince" is used to show that such is ruler of a certain domain. A prince is a symbol of power. We can easily say Jesus is the Prince of Peace, or Power of Peace, or we could go to the very root and just say, "Jesus is peace." Some people think they will get something called peace when they pray, that is a mistake. You actually get "someone" called Peace.
