I would say that, as long as the wearing of masks is mandated by any level of law (that is, local, state, or federal) that applies to a given individual, it would be the responsibility of a Christian to obey such laws.

Even in the absence of such laws (in my opinion), although Christians would have the freedom not to wear a mask, the spirit of love toward others that all Christians should possess and exhibit in their actions should motivate them to take all steps necessary to protect those others (not to mention themselves).

(Also, as I believe I have indicated in response to previous questions, failure or deliberate refusal to wear a mask based on professed trust in God's protection could, in my opinion, actually be regarded as putting God to the test, which the Bible specifically forbids (Deuteronomy 6:16; Luke 4:12).)

For some people, I agree with the answer provided by Tim Maas. However, as a physician, I would point out that there are many reasons why not everyone is loving or kind by wearing a mask. The wearing of a mask is much more a political attempt to impose control over U.S. citizens than it is an attempt at personal safety.

The only mask that has been proven to be somewhat effective in preventing the spread of Covid is the N95 mask. Almost no one is wearing this type of mask. To wear any other has been proven by many medical studies to be ineffective. So, the only way that most arguments are viable is if we are discussing the N95 mask, not what almost everyone is wearing. Even using the N95 mask is ineffective if not used properly. "Properly" includes not having a beard, covering tightly the mouth and nose, changing the mask daily (expensive), etc. Wearing a mask that has been used for days is much more dangerous than no mask at all. If the mask is indeed collecting the Coronavirus, to reuse it is to place the virus on your face and hands and spread it everywhere you go. This is worse than no mask at all for both the mask user and those around them.

In addition to the above issues, now that we have a vaccine that is more than 90% effective, anyone that is vaccinated twice should be exempt from wearing a mask, as that person will have almost no ability to get or give the virus. Likewise, anyone proven to have had Covid should be immune and have no ability to give or get Covid. That includes millions of Americans. I would suggest that an antibody test to prove past infection, and therefore current and future immunity, should also be reason for exemption from mask wearing or any other mandate supposedly meant to decrease the spread of Covid. If you can't get or give the virus, using a mask repeatedly is much more dangerous than not using a mask, as we are collecting the virus and then wearing it and spreading it everywhere we go.

I don't personally believe that this virus is anywhere near as contagious as we are led to believe. There are many instances of one partner getting infected and the spouse remaining disease free from Covid. Spouses should be expected to have close household contact and should be expected to become infected from the other if this virus is as contagious as we are told. I know of one local meeting each week with more than 1,000 in attendance. No one there takes any precautions. I almost never see any masks, everyone hugs and shakes hands, and the seats are close together. Very few have been infected, and we have no way to prove if those were infected in this meeting. If this virus were as contagious as we are told, those in attendance should be at high risk of infection.

There are many other reasons why the mandates we have been given are not medically sound, and only make sense as political attempts to control the population and void freedom. For the few that haven't been vaccinated or infected, that wear properly the N95 mask and change daily or more, there may be an argument that you are partially protecting yourself or others by mask wearing. Citizens that meet those criteria are few and far between and the rest of us are doing nothing to even partially protect ourselves or others. Don't pretend that you are being compliant with safety measures unless you meet all of those criteria and more. We say we believe the science, and liberals tell us to do so when it comes to abortion, but with issues of Covid, liberals, in particular, ignore the science when it is convenient.

I work at a factory with a mask mandate. Some of my coworkers including me complain that our masks are uncomfortable, and some even claim that “masks don’t work.”

Yes, they are bothersome, that is, less than convenient (I find myself thinking about my mask almost constantly during my workday), but they do have a reputation of being effective when worn properly. Many wear them improperly not covering their nose like they do their mouth (which is maddening to me, even after I’ve said something to them.)

Yet the one reason I believe we have the responsibility to wear masks during COVID-19 is out of consideration for the most vulnerable in our communities.

Matthew 25:40 says, “And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”

Over the past months we have found that certain groups are more vulnerable to the worst outcomes if infected by the coronavirus. The CDC has noted that the older you are, or if you have an underlying medical condition, you are more likely to die from this contagious disease. I have 2 people at home that both have mitral valve prolapse syndrome and insomnia issues (REALLY suffering there). I feel I have the responsibility to protect them by wearing my mask at work and in public so that I don’t contract COVID and communicate it to them either asymptomatically or otherwise.

Jesus says that when we serve others, we serve Him!

I humbly submit that my position has always been to protect or promote all liberties and freedoms that the Creator has given us in HIS wisdom.
Within Christendom some mainline churches are now under the newly papered graduates of modern day liberal theological schools. Walking in ideological lock step with their secular traveling companions.

This is manifested as; a good piteous CHRISTIAN must give up or surrender a targeted RIGHT or LIBERTY now deemed as mean / evil by this holy hoity-toity.

In our REPUBLIC laws are made under this authority; Article 1, section 1 by the LEGISLATURE and not by the Executive or Judicial branches.
Legalese according to American Jurisprudence, a legal encyclopedia, UNCONSTITUTIONAL official acts are void:

The general misconception is that ANY STATUE passed by legislators bearing the APPEARANCE of LAW constitutes the law of the land.
The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, for any statute, to be VALID, it must be in AGREEMENT. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail.

According to the Cornell Legal Information Institute “after the passage of the Fourteenth Amendment,” the Bill of Rights was “made applicable to the states through the Due Process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment,” According to the Supreme Court’s modern jurisprudential standard, individual Americans are equally protected by the incorporated Amendments of the Bill of Rights at the STATE and LOCAL LEVEL as they are protected at the FEDERAL LEVEL. The leftist suggestion that “municipalities and states” can LEGALLY INFRINGE upon those constitutional protections of Americans is therefore unequivocally FALSE.

The Constitution does not ENUMERATE any FEDERAL powers to trample our protected rights; thus neither do STATE or LOCAL bureaucrats. Our true responsibility is to the inalienable rights / freedom given by the Master, not to the unconstitutional whims of man. Of course you have the freedom to choose your path or do you really?

I am in agreement with some of the answers. I have done some research on this very question. Masks can be very harmful especially over hours of wearing. God has provided oxygen for us to live. Without it, we die. It has been proven that long wearing maskers are prone to pneumonia, dying of body blood cells, hypoxia, tooth decay and mouth cancer. The Lord does not want us to euthanize ourselves or deprive our bodies of the one needed thing to keep healthy.

I largely agree with the good doctor above. Not only have many doctors and medical scientists spoken out against the efficacy of most masks, but mask wearing for long periods of time is not good for you due to the extremely high levels of our own Co2 we take in, which is many times above the safe level.

I would strongly recommend searching the Internet for the Bitchute video that features two former OSHA whistleblowers who reveal how OSHA, too, has been politicized. In its own manuals OSHA speaks out against masks, yet now goes along with officials in the Public Health sector that urging mask-wearing. If there are any experts on masks, it is OSHA. It is what they do. They are experts on all kinds of protection against all kinds of disasters, including infectious diseases. If we really want to "follow the science", then follow the science of the experts whose job it is to know about such things.

Brethren, we are also told to be "as innocent as doves, yet wise as serpents." Let us not cower in fear of covid or hide behind the pretense of protecting others when virtually the entire covid narrative has been and is still deeply grounded in a mountain of lies.
