At least one translation (in fact, the King James Version) that I have seen of Genesis 12:19 seems to indicate that, although Pharaoh took Sarai into the royal household, he had not yet officially taken her to wife by consummating their relationship.

In the KJV, Pharaoh is recorded as saying, "Why saidst thou, She is my sister? So I MIGHT HAVE TAKEN [emphasis added] her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way."
