Having been born again 31 years ago and loving Bible study, strong and varied Christian teaching, and a Sunday school teacher myself, I must say I am thoroughly pleased with The Chosen. Not at 1st though. Last year when it 1st came out I saw the 1st three episodes and did not appreciate the non biblical story- telling.

After much coaxing, this year I watched in one week the 1st season and had a completely different experience with it. I’m enjoying the characterizations of the biblical figures and am impressed with the accurate scriptural depictions and dialogue.

Our home group has had 2 watch parties now for season 2. All seem to have clear understanding of the scriptural and the added content. I heartily recommend the show to all.

This is an extremely interesting question, Peggy! I was a pastor for seven years after having graduated from Bible College and Dallas Theological Seminary. I love "The Chosen." And yes, I think it is so biblically accurate. It is dramatic, and that is one thing that I love about it. I appreciate that the show’s creator, Dallas Jenkins (son of Left Behind co-author Jerry Jenkins), has a degree in Biblical Studies. (Incidentally, I read all the Left Behind series for adults and children because I love to read good sound biblical stuff).
