The answer is yes, The Holy Spirit through the prophet Isaiah spoke about the sacrificial death of Jesus the Son of God in chapter 53. There are a variety of types and shadows of Jesus in the Old Testament. One in particular is the narrative of the offering of Isaac, Abraham's son, in Genesis 22. Isaac, a type of Jesus, was offered as a sacrifice when his father Abraham, obeying the voice of God, was willing to offer him, knowing by faith that God was able to raise him from the dead. (See Hebrews 11:17-19) I encourage you to read the Old Testament prophets. Genesis 3:15 speaks about Jesus Christ. Psalm 22 speaks about the suffering of Christ, to name a few. Again I encourage you to read the Word of God for yourself. There is so much erroneous teaching out there. Many of God's people have fallen prey to the spirit of error because they put their trust in what their pastors are teaching them and have no relationship with the Holy Spirit themselves. It is the will of God that we grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18. He desires that we know Him intimately, meaning to know His ways, the truth that is consistent with His divine nature. Jesus told His disciples, “When He, the Spirit of Truth, will come, He will lead you and guide you into all truth.” The Holy Spirit is our Teacher and Helper. I hope that what I have shared will cause you to want to seek God for yourself. Love you to life!
