One principle of holy living (Col 3:1-17) in regard to the believer's spiritual apparel (Col 3:5-17) is the thing that we are to put on: God's peace and thankfulness (Col 3:15). Growth in grace (2 P 3:18) involves growth in praise (1 Th 5:18), and so we must grow in our expression of praise as we grow in our applying God's Word (Col 3:16). And if a local church is “growing in grace” the members will want to learn new hymns in order to give praise to God. If the heart and head do not keep pace with each other, Christian worship becomes either juvenile or hypocritical. WW

I LOVE learning new songs on my guitar as long as they're EASY ENOUGH!

Christians should be known for their "attitude of gratitude." Gratitude would be a complement to our prayers - Col 4:2; 1Ti 2:1:
