We can see lots of works & the role of Holy spirit in the days of Old Testament. Example: Elijah served Israel & went into heaven by a whirlwind, but before he was taken-up he chose Elisha, a young man, to continue his service. While he was taken-up to heaven he gave his mantle to Elisha. So Elisha took that mantle and did great miracles; with the help of Elijah's mantle he served Israel greater than his master. The same we see in New Testament: Jesus served & ascended to heaven, but before He did He chose disciples to continue his service. After His ascension He gave not just His mantle, but Holy spirit upon his disciples. With the help of Holy Spirit, the disciples gave testimony about Jesus and did great miracles. So many peoples believed in Jesus Christ and were saved by Holy Spirit as we read in the Book of Acts. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came down from heaven & until today, He is working and encouraging the people to believe Jesus Christ, the Only Savior.
