Should church leaders adhere to and promote the government's (CDC) Covid-19 Pandemic guidelines regarding corporate worship, communions, baptizings, and other church activities?

At my church, corporate worship was resumed in July 2020 during the Pandemic, long before the federal guidelines allowed it. The Pastor and his family declined to be vaccinated when vaccines became available and recommended. Mask wearing was optional; 2 people who were baptized reported testing positive for Covid-19, no precautions were taken afterward, and no attendance contact records were maintained.

Matthew 22:21

ESV - 21 They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.

All I can say is that the great city of Corinth had many problems because they valued human wisdom above God's wisdom. They refused to do what God required. They experienced dissention, division and disunity.

God is to be first, always. He does not accept second place from anyone. God's wisdom trumps human wisdom any day, anywhere, any time.

The church is to teach the word of God as revealed in the Bible alone.

No government has the right to put itself above Holy Almighty God. Our government in U.S.A. guarantees religious liberty. The churches should have kept their doors open for anyone who wanted to go and worship God.

Even Jesus disagreed with the holier than thou pharisees. He put God above human "wisdom"...
