Did Jesus’ prediction about Jerusalem come true? (Luke 19:41–44)

41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

Luke 19:41 - 44

ESV - 41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it. 42 Saying, "Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in AD 70, as described in the following account:

Yep, 40 years later, i.e. in A.D. 66, the Jews revolted vs. Rome. After 3 years the uprising was squelched by Titus, the son of the Roman emperor. QSB

In AD 70, the Romans came and, after a siege of 143 days, killed 600,000 Jews, took thousands more captive, and then destroyed the temple and the city. That is, Jerusalem was burned to the ground. Why did all of this happen? Because the people did not know that God had visited them! “He came unto his own, and his own received him not” (John 1:11). “We will not have this man to reign over us” (Luke 19:14).

I have seen the rebuilt Jerusalem, and in fact I stayed there during my vacation to Israel as a pastor for seven years. It is the holy City.
