Yes, but not permanently. Throughout the Old Testament we see instances where the Spirit would come and go. David begged God not to take his Spirit from him (Ps. 51:11). But now, at salvation the Spirit indwells us as "a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance" (Eph. 1:13-14).
