This assurance of answered prayer is not a blanket promise for any request, but is tied to the believer's relationship with Christ and alignment with His purposes, just as Jesus' teachings and miraculous actions were always in accordance with God's will and plan, as well as Jesus' submission to God's will regarding His sacrificial death (Matthew 26:36-44).
