Why not say "sola Verbum Dei", instead of "sola scriptura"?

Since Protestants hold that they are guided by Bible alone or "sola scriptura", while Catholic teach that they are guided by written and traditions, Scripture and Traditions, can both agree to just say, "We believe in the Word of God alone" or "sola Verbum Dei"?

Because "Sola Scriptura" along with the other 4 "Sola" war cries of Protestants were birthed out of the reformation. Martin Luther was essentially responding against Catholic corruption and unscripturally based traditions (not all are of course). So it wouldn't have made sense for him to say anything except Sola Scriptura.
