Amish wear beards only after they have married, the men wear straw hats for head covering according to there beliefs. They are for the most part a quiet people. Living out God's Way to live, we should all take a Lesson in Peace, patience, Kindness, Mercy, Grace and Faith.

The Amish work hard, even the children help from 5 on up, they have chores. They Grow most of their own food and can it. They raise grow chickens for eggs then eating, they usually have one cow to provide milk butter and cheese. They raise 2 or three pigs each year or barter for things like time worked for payment of meat.

When a neighbor is in need the community rallies around to help money wise for Dr's Medicine. If a barn burns the community comes together the men and boys to help raise the barn, and the women and girls help with food and drink. It only takes maybe 2 days to raise it! Many hands make short the work at hand.

Have a blessed week.
