If a prayer is not in line with scripture, it does not bring glory to god. Was the purpose for creating the 'hail Mary' to give glory to Mary or Jesus? Jesus came to us as a child and died for us as man. We can not add or take away from this biblical truth.

Amen. I had questioned this and prayers to other saints when I was still Catholic. Thank God , I became Born Again.

We Christians seem to be very good at picking issues and then analysing and arguing over the details.
Of course every prayer to Mary is not in line with scripture: Yet I'm sorry to say that many Christian churches I've been to pray equally pointless prayers - usually because they are prepared with no faith or expectancy that a Living God will hear and respond to what we have to say.
Pray to Him who is our Saviour (no other intermediary is required)
Trust that He hears, and responds
Testify to those about you when God answers.
The God that answers - Let him be God! (1 Kings 18:24)
