Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is a one-on-one personal relationship with Jesus, who offers salvation by grace through faith for those who believe (Romans 10:8-13). No strings attached. No formal structure. No rules, policies, procedures to follow. No steps. We are saved, we are ministered to daily by the Holy Spirit, and we thank God for our eternal security. No oaths, no earthly leader, no getting dumped if we falter. It's in THE Book.

Forget religion. It goes nowhere. That rules out everyone but Jesus.

For these kinds of people, you will not get anywhere by quoting scriptures. You have to employ philosophy.

Using Philosophy to search for truth, it will point eventually to Christianity which contains the most logical, rational and systematic ways of showing the truth to man.

Our God is the source of all knowledge, rationality, science and truth. We have God on our side.

The scripture says that " Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself in spotted from the world." James 1:27
This is the measurement for "religion". And "If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceive his own heart, this one's religion is useless" James 1:26
Every man is "right " in his own eyes: but The Lord ponder with the hearts." Proverbs 21:2. So now, which religion is "right" according to God?

The Christian religion is the only true religion that saves sinful man from eternal punishment. Among world religions Christianity is unique in that it says: DONE while all others say: DO! in reference to salvation.

To the question regarding religions claiming to be true and why Christianity should be believed rather than others I say investigate said truth claims.

Jesus was a real man who lived on earth at a specific point in history, he claimed to be God, he said the Old Testament was true, he was murdered then came back from the dead and showed himself to many people proving his claim to be God was true. These events were recorded in what we call the gospels, the rest of the New Testament fleshes out the implications of this making up the most reliable and well preserved document of antiquity bar none.

While that answer still leaves its hearer dead in their trespasses, a gospel centered approach could be taken proclaiming the forgiveness of sin this historical Jesus provided on the cross for you and for me and redefining what the concept of a "good" person is and showing said person they are not one. Only contrasted to bad news does good news make any sense.
