Wedding bands is jewelry and we are not suppose to be wearing jewelry. I am not sure if you heard of a book called Testimonies to the Church, in that book volume 3 page 366.1 says we are not suppose to beer wearing jewelry. But I am not sure if you know about this book. So I will use some Bible text. In Revelation 17:3,4 we saw a woman dressed and decked with gold. This woman which the bible says is a harlot. The other woman in Rev 12 is a pure woman and it does say she has a crown but this represents the twelve tribes of Israel Gen 37:5-10. Weddings rings had connection to paganism. Also the Lord had describe what ornaments needs to be removed before His coming Isaiah 3:16-21. Also there are several Bible text that connect Baal to jewelry Hosea 2:13. The Lord wants us to focus on the heart and trusting Him 1 Peter 3:3,4 and 1 Timothy 2:9,10. So as of right now wearing jewelry is not good. The husband which is the "house-band" is the one who keeps the family together. Wearing a wedding band is taking the place of the husband. I Hope this help and if you need more just let me know.
If you are asking if Ellen G White says that you can wear a wedding band, then the answer is no. If you are asking if the Seventh-day Adventist church has a rule that says you can't wear a wedding band, I don't think so. I've never heard of a rule that says you can't, but it really depends on which one of the SDA churches you go to. I'm sorry to say that there are some churches that you can walk into wearing a wedding band and you will get a feeling like they are judging you for wearing jewelry, but I believe those churches are the exception to the rule. I think it is safe to say that you can find churches like that in every denomination, not just Seventh-day Adventist. I think it is safe to say that the majority of the Seventh-day Adventist churches that you go to you will find a lot of people not only wearing a wedding band, but also wearing other forms of jewelry, like necklaces, earrings, etc. I don't know where it is found off the top of my head, but from what I've read in the Bible I believe it depends on why you are wearing the jewelry, not necessarily what you are wearing, but your reason for wearing it. I believe that if the reason you are wearing a wedding band is to make a public statement to the world in a form that the world will understand that you are married and proud of it, I don't know of anywhere in the Bible where it says that is wrong. I believe that if you are wearing a wedding band as an excuse to wear something that will draw attention to yourself so that other people will be impressed by you, then I think that is wearing it for the wrong reason and I think that goes against what the Bible instructs us to do. If that is where your heart is, trying to impress other people with what you are wearing, trying to draw attention to yourself I doubt if it is just a wedding ring that would be what you are using to do that, it would be everything that you are wearing, the whole outfit.
