Yes, Jesus will hear you. The NLT version of the Bible says this in Matthew 6:6, But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Jesus also sought solitude often when He prayed to His Heavenly Father, and everything He did serves as an example for us to follow. It's necessary to pray alone in order to develop a personal relationship with God; it's also helpful to pray with other believers at times because there is power in our agreement, which Matthew 18:20 and other verses tell us.
David, I posted this earlier and it was deleted. Hopefully it will remain this time. The verse you referred to actually has nothing to do with prayer. If you read the previous context you will see that The Lord was giving his disciples instructions on how to address and respond to different types of offenses. The Bible teaches that every truly saved individual is eternally indwelled and sealed by the Holy Spirit of God. Ephesians 4:30 "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Romans 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:27 "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." To answer your question, YES! If you are truly saved, born into the family of God he always hears you. Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." If you are not sure of your relationship with The Lord, you must settle this first. All are guilty before God. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned”. Simply believing God exists is not sufficient. James 2:19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble“. Salvation cannot be earned. Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Christ has provided the only way. Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved“. What is Required of us? Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
