Why did Zacchaes feel that he needed to pay back everything and 'reverse' his sins?
Luke 19:8
ESV - 8 And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.

I read somewhere that under Jewish Law, if one had someone as a guest in their home, and that someone was an honored guest, that if that someone partook of anything bought with dishonest money, it would bring great dishonor to the house and the guest. In order to save face and disgrace, he had to sell everything and pay back his debt of dishonesty.
Maybe someone with some more knowledge here can either back me up, correct me or add to bring clarity here?
