If it was sacred why would he flood it?
The following verses explains the crust formations on the mountains prior to Noah's flood;
Genesis 1: 6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. 9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
Yes I agree Rev Banks, and it continues to this day via tectonic activity which was only discovered just the last century. Another scientific prophecy in the first chapter of Genesis although psalm 104, proverbs 8 and job 38 infer as well. Science has also finally discovered that universe had a causal agent who created it out of nothing as in ex nihilo. Sound familiar? As you know there r many many others.
Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 tell about Lucifer walking in the garden of Eden. Was this the same Eden that Adam and Eve were in? When did Lucifer sin and become the serpent? How does that fit into the Genesis account of creation? I just don't understand the timeline. Or was this a "garden of Eden" that was in heaven that Lucifer was walking in - a replica of what God created on Earth. Were the angels created on day 2? And Adam on day 6 - so then did Lucifer's fall occur sometime between these?
When God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, it doesn't make sense that it would have taken Eve long to conceive and yet they sin and are sent out of the garden before any children are born. So I don't think the fall happened very long after the creation.
I believe that the Garden of Eden is inside the Mount of Olives and was covered by sedimentary rock (limestone) during the flood. If one notices the shape of the Mount it is dome shaped. The angel swinging the flaming sword every way would have swung arcs describing a dome shape. When Jesus' feet touch the Mount of Olives on the last day the Mount is split east to west creating a large plane and taking the Ark of the Covenant back to The Lord's temple Himself. I also believe that the Ark is inside the Mount of Olives and can prove it with an in depth scripture study.
Julian Grear,
Where is it said that the Garden Of Eden was sacred? It was the name of a place created by God for the people He created to live. It had a catchy name, but I don't think it was anything to venerate; I mean, no more than any other place...
If that's the meaning of a sacred place - created by God - then the whole earth is sacred!
I believe God called the ground Moses was standing on "holy" when He spoke to Moses from a burning bush, for Moses to always remember the place where he was called into God's service. Nobody else has had to take off their shoes when they walked on that ground. It's an historic mountain (I think it's the same place where Abraham took his son Isaac to be sacrificed as a burnt offering to the LORD), and it is a sacred place because God chose it for a special purpose, but I don't think it's to be venerated per se...
I don't believe any sacred laws were broken when the land called the Garden Of Eden was flooded... It was the original place of habitation for humans; no more no less, I believe..
How about when that great temple that Solomon built was destroyed... Was that "sacrilegious?" Should God have prevented that? I'm just asking...
