Understanding what it means being one in Christ can not be explained in just one or two scriptures. Christ tells his apostles that when the comforter comes he would reveal this truth, how the Father and he are one and how we are one in Christ. It is written in John 14:16-20. I encourage you to read it.
Christ explains to his apostles the definition of eternal life, which is a personal relationship with the Father and him. The apostles did not understand and asked Christ how will it be possible? I encourage you to read the definition in John 17 and the answer Christ gave the apostles.
Christ makes several references to the Father and him. In John12:49-50 Christ tells us the words he spoke were not his own, but whatever the Father told him to speak he did.
Also read John 14:10, that Father dwelt in Christ and Christ in him, making them one. Christ dwells in us, making us one in Him.
Study the scriptures concerning this matter. You will find out that the words Christ actually spoke were God speaking through him. Next time you read scripture, know that it is God who is talking to us.
