What should I do about my gay parent?

This is unusual, but my father is gay. I have come out as a Christian to him a year ago, but now he's freaking out about it. He keeps trying to suppress me from sharing my faith, even on Facebook. He won't leave me alone about my faith. I want to also mention, that I don't bring anything up to him or post on his walls or friends walls. He corners me in person and lectures and yells at me often without me speaking first. I'm worried that he'll confront me about homosexuality next, because it's not unusual for him to say "You really believe in X thing in the Bible??" and he's said "You need to start using your brain, not the Bible." If he does, how do I tell the truth that homosexuality is not okay, but not sound like I'm condemning him for it?

Wow, situations such as yours are not uncommon, even so our Lord already knew what it was going to cost to follow Him. The cost is so great that it will divide family. Matthew 10:23 shows the divisions caused within families for His own name sake, "persecution" my friend is part in parcel when you deny yourself, take up your cross and follow him, Mark 8:34 and praise God you have done this. Don't ever be afraid if he confronts you with God on your side who can be against you?.

What do you do I suggest? Other mature Christians may advise as well, is draw deeper into your relationship with God and ask for His wisdom through prayer James 1:5, read the Word and surround yourself with faithful brothers and sisters. Be always respectful and loving in your conduct (which I'm sure you already are) towards your father In the hope that he may witness the love of God within you and that he may come to know Him, you don't need to say much but show much of what Christ is like.

Know that your calling is always for a great purpose Romans 8:28,through your trials with your father give God praise and thanks through it because He is going to do a mighty work through you! Wait and see:) take heart and be of good courage:).

God bless my friend.
