Aside from the fact that the Bible clearly teaches God'a election of individuals unto salvation it also teaches God's omniscience. If God knows everything (which he does) he knew all whom would be saved from the foundation of the world. If in his omniescience he knows all that will be saved, he obviously knows of all who will not. This will not change and has to be "fixed". I.e. no one will slide in the back door unbeknown to God, so to speak. Read the parables in Matthew 22:1-14 and Matthew 25:1-13.
