What does the Bible say about giants and giant tribes that once lived on Earth?

2 Samuel 2:15 - 22

NKJV - 15 So they arose and went over by number, twelve from Benjamin, followers of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve from the servants of David. 16 And each one grasped his opponent by the head and thrust his sword in his opponent's side; so they fell down together. Therefore that place was called the Field of Sharp Swords, which is in Gibeon.

Genesis 6:4 narrates that there were ''giants (Hebrew ''nephı̂yl'') in the earth'', in those days (see also Numbers 13:33; Deuteronomy 1:28; 2:10-11, 20-21; etc), and also afterward. Goliath the Philistine, as many of us are familiar with his account in 1 Samuel 17, was also a giant, as the Bible describes his height (see 1 Samuel 17:4). The giant tribes were those mentioned in the above scriptural references, such as the ''Nephilim, Emims, Anakims'', and others mentioned throughout Scripture. These are obviously extinct, from a long time ago.

Although there is much argument regarding which type of giants these were, these were literal giants; that is, men with greater physical attributes than the normal human shape.
