Daniel 10:20

ESV - 20 Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.

It is generally understood that the ''prince of Persia'' refers to an evil spirit, or Satan himself, who is also styled ''the prince of this world'' by our Lord Jesus (see John 12:31; 14:30). But it is more likely that an evil spirit is preferred, as it was employed by Satan to cause mischief in the courts of Persia, against the Jews who were there by that time, and Daniel being one of them.
