I think that if we go back to Genesis 7:1 the story of Noah, we see God tell Noah "...for I have seen righteousness before me in this generation," this tells us that God was looking to the future. God, of course knows everything. Skip to Genesis 15:1. "After these things the Word of the Lord came unto Abraham in a Vision saying, Fear not;Abram I am your shield and your exceeding great reward." These two men exhibited great faith, which made them righteous in God's eyes. Think about David, King David. A man flawed, sinful, but he had great faith. I don't think there is anything else that makes God smile more than that. As a result, reward, you might say, God will take care of your needs. He will help you, not ever leave you and keep the evil one away. Praise His Holy Name Forever! He will pour His Spirit into you and you will never go hungry.
