Is the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not the church?



      

Mark 13:14 - 23

NKJV - 14 So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" (let the reader understand), "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15 Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

No, the abomination in not the church.  It is the anti-Christ.  He will set himself up as the Messiah (where he ought not be) and expect all to worship him as such (which is an abomination).  That is a sign to the saints who remain on earth to "head for the hills" because the anti-Christ is going to make it horrible for any who will not bow to him (desolation, See Rev. 13).
