Here we have a repetition of the classes of Ps. 115:9-11 whom God promises to bless (Ps. 115:12-14).

Sevenfold blessing of God:

He will bless:
1. Us (Ps. 115:12)
2. The house of Israel (Ps. 115:9,12)
3. The house of Aaron (Ps. 115:10,12)
4. Them that fear Him (Ps. 115:11,13)
5. Small and great (Ps. 115:13)
6. You with children (Ps. 115:14)
7. Your children (Ps. 115:14)

Both Jews and Gentiles and every child of God is blessed.

In Psalms 115:2 the passage reads: "Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?" The name heathen generally refers to non-Hebrew people. The next verse draws stark contrast to the heathen's gods, "But our God is in the heavens........".

" O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield." (115:9)

" O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield." (115:10)

" Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield." (115:11)

The heathen and their gods (non-Hebrew idolaters) are not included in the collective group referred to as "us".

"The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron."

In contrast, the psalmist is exhorting the house of Israel (the Hebrews) and the house of Aaron (the preisthood) to trust in the Lord.

Concerning God's love for Israel Isaiah writes " Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me" (49:16).

Jeremiah 31:3 " The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee".
