Who was Sosthenes, Paul's "co-author" of 1 Corinthians?



      

1 Corinthians 1:1

ESV - 1 Paul, called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and our brother Sosthenes.

To find Sosthenes we go back to Acts 18:17. "Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgement seat. But GALLIO took no notice of these things."

I would assume that Sosthenes became a follower of Paul, a brother in Christ, and assisted Paul, at least for a while.
