What does the difference of quantity of the fruit mean in Matthew 13:23?

In this passage, there are different degrees of quantity in the fruit. What does this difference mean? Depth of understanding of the Word of God or depth of holiness as in John 15?

Matthew 13:23

ESV - 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.
