It is written in 1 Peter 1:19: But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Christ was foreordained before the foundation of the world to go to Calvary and be crucified for the sin of the world. God’s divine plan was to offer salvation through Christ and offer it to all. As he said in John 3:16: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God made Christ the doorway to his salvation. He chose the preaching of the gospel to draw all into him. Christ’s sacrifice not only covers our sin but all sins of the flesh. Sin that all men had is unbelief. This was the sin that kept you from God. Christ has given us redemption from that sin and all our sins.
