"Unskillful" as used in the King James Version translation of Hebrews 5:13 (as found at http://www.biblehub.com) means "inexperienced" or "unfamiliar" with the concepts discussed in the Bible. The verse goes along with the verse immediately following (Hebrews 5:14), which compares those who are new to the Christian faith as "babies" who must grow and mature in their understanding of spiritual issues. (As used in the verse, the term "unskilled" is not meant to have a negative connotation reflecting an innate inability to understand on the new Christian's part, but instead refers to an unfamiliarity that results purely from lack of experience or training, and that can be corrected.)
