These two verses Ecclesiastes 11:1,2 I believe are easier to understand in the KJV Bible. They read, "Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth." Proverbs 19:17, "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again." Matthew 10:42, "And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward." 1Kings 18:4, "For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water." Galatians 6:9,10, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." 1 John 3:17, "But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from Him, how dwelleth the love of God in Him?" (I do believe bowels in the bible means innermost heart. See Genesis 43:30, And Colossians 3:12." Hebrews 6:10, "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which he have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister." Matthew 25:40, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as he have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, he have done it unto me." Deuteronomy 15:10, "Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto." AMEN.
