18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! 20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

Acts 4:19

ESV - 19 But Peter and John answered them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge.

The point of this passage is not when is it right to disobey authority.but the bigger question is to always reassure leaders or anyone in a higher position, that the greatness and power of God cannot be questioned or stopped by anyone. And we should also be willing to help the souls out there, here and now to realize their need of the Savior and the miracles he did then he can very much do so now. So let’s proclaim that there is salvation in no one else! Under all heaven there is no other name for men to call upon to save them “Acts 4:12
