13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits[b] to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings[c] we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. 16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

In my opinion, by speaking of "sharing" Christ's glory, Paul is making a comment similar to the sentiment that John expressed in 1 John 3:2, when he said that believers will be like Christ in eternity for they shall see Him as He is (that is, in the glorified state that is His as a result of the completed mission of redemption that He achieved). He performed that mission on our behalf, so that we might also eternally partake (which, in my opinion, comes closest to the intent of the word "share") of the same immortal nature in our glorified bodies that He possesses (although we will owe the fact that we are able to do that entirely to Him). We will also "share" in the glory of the victory that Christ won through our being the evidence or "fruit" of it.
