What does trouble look like for a Christian who won't listen to God?

Proverbs - "You will say, How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction! I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors, And I was soon in serious trouble in the assembly of God's people."

What are the warning signs that should lead us to repentance?

Proverbs 5:12 - 14

ESV - 12 And you say, "How I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof! 13 I did not listen to the voice of my teachers or incline my ear to my instructors.

Great question, Grant.

Venereal diseases. The "long list of venereal or sexually transmitted diseases that ravage and consume human flesh in different ways and places." See a whole devotional on this topic here:

The CDC says that "Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), also known as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are very common. Millions of new infections occur every year in the United States.

STDs pass from one person to another through vaginal, oral, and anal sex."

"There are dozens of STDs. Some STDs, such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, are spread mainly by sexual contact. Other diseases, including Zika, Ebola, and mpox, can be spread sexually but are more often spread through ways other than sex."

And what I didn't know they also go on to say and I repeat: "Other diseases, including Zika, Ebola, and mpox, can be spread sexually but are more often spread through ways other than sex."

Aren't these causes more than enough to refrain from illicit sexual activity?

If you are a Christian engaging in such activities and have not repented, do so now before it's too late to break this abominable and addictive habit. If you refuse to repent even though many brothers and/or sisters have pled with you to stop, and if you are a member there, you could be excommunicated from church -- Matthew 18;15-17; 1 Corinthians 5:1-5).
