Is enjoying time in your gardens considered “labor” on the Sabbath?

Is it considered "labor" or "work" on the Sabbath to spend time in your flower or vegetable garden if it's for enjoyment? Specifically, doing things such as pruning, trimming, harvesting, etc?

Exodus 35:1 - 35

ESV - 1 Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, "These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do. 2 Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

By His perfect fulfillment of the Mosaic Law (of which no one else would or could ever have been capable), followed by His atoning death and subsequent resurrection (which indicated God's approval of His actions), Jesus did away with the type of sabbath-day restrictions on labor to which the question is referring, along with all other attempts to earn God's favor, or to atone for human sin, through obedience to the Law or by animal sacrifice.

Of course, people (including Christians) may still, if they choose, refrain from certain activities on the Sabbath, and should also strive to the best of their ability to love God and others (as Jesus summarized the Law in Matthew 22:34-40) in gratitude to Him for the salvation that they have already received. But such actions have absolutely no relationship to the attainment of that salvation, which is achieved solely through faith in Christ.
