It is okay to complain to God. Our complaints are things that weigh heavy on our hearts that become a burden. Take it to the Lord. (Phillipians 4:7) Our complaints are our troubles and concerns (Psalms 142:2); pour them out to Him. We can complain to God, but not AGAINST Him (Numbers 14:26). It does me good when I complain to God about any situation. He not only hears, but He answers and helps me through it. I only complain about things or situations, mostly beyond my control. I don't complain about what God has blessed me with. He blessed me with it, no need to complain. I'm thankful for all his blessings. God loves us, and he wants to help us when we put our faith in Him and trust Him. Just believe, and see what He does.
Even when life hurts, I can still praise God! If Jesus has saved me from sin (and He has), I can thank God no matter what happens, because I'm going to heaven and God is working all things for my good (Romans 8:28). God wants me to give thanks for everything, good or bad (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). So instead of complaining about the rain on our vacation as it did on our Scottsdale Bible Church group who had hiked down into the Grand Canyon for 3 days, we had much to thank God for, as in our tents we had A LOT of time for Bible study, and quite a few got saved! Instead of complaining when my boss assigns me an unpleasant task at work, I might pray, "God, I don't feel like doing this job, but I pray You would help me have a good attitude and do my best. Thank You for the opportunity to learn." See more at, “Is it okay to complain to God?” - GQKidz.org
