What does this mean: “Because God works in you both wanting and acting according to His good pleasure”?

Philippians 2:13

ESV - 13 For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

"Pleasure", from the Greek word eudokia, is translated as purpose or intention. God works through us as he deems necessary once we have been sealed with the holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), by belief in the gospel that saves today.

The gospel that saves today:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

When someone believes this, trusting in Jesus Christ alone as their savior and nothing of themselves (Ephesians 2:8-9), they are instantly sealed with the holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30), and are now members of the church the body of Christ (Romans 12:5, Colossians 1:24).

It is at this time that God can effectually work His will through believing members of the church which is Christ's body (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
