In my opinion, the reference to a seal in the cited passage was not referring to a means of materially increasing the difficulty of opening the tomb, but rather to a method of indicating that an attempt to breach the tomb had been made, by the presence (for example) of a cord attached to the door and walls, held on by wax stamped with some kind of signet. (The guard mentioned in the cited passage would have been the more forceful means of preventing disturbance of the tomb.)
