Can the devil mislead one to feel saved?

In the question of salvation, can the devil mislead someone to feel saved, when he is unsaved actually?
There four cases:

God saves & God gives assurance of salvation.
God saves &God does not give assurance of salvation.
God does not save & God does not give assurance of salvation.
God does not save & the devil misleads one to have assurance of salvation.

Is this fourth case possible biblically?

1 John 4:1 - 21

ESV - ¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
