The word church is a body of believers. The early Christians did not build buildings. They met in homes of other believers. It wasn’t until later we see buildings erected for church members to assemble in. 

I attended a church one time and heard a preacher say that the building was God’s holy place. They believe just as the Jews believed concerning their temple. They believed that is where God is. 

Christ tells them to destroy their temple, and he would raise it up in three days. What Christ was telling us is that we are the temple that God dwells in. Not in a building. I even heard a preacher say the utensils that were used for the Lord’s supper were holy. 

There is nothing holy about a building or the things they use. We are the holy ones unto God, created in his image through his Holy Spirit. 

Churches today have replaced the holiness of God with a building. They have become judges of others, deciding who is worthy to attend. They decide who is worthy to receive help from their love funds. 

I see churches today that seek more to entertain more than worship. 
I believe the true church is within us. 

The scriptures tell us the difference between true religion and a false religion. True religion is to visit the widows and orphans and to keep yourself unspotted from the world.

Does the church building you attend teach such things? A congregation does not need a building to worship God. You do that within you.
