I'm led to answer "Yes! A whole bunch!" The scriptures are best understood when the Holy Spirit leads us to a literal, not figurative evaluation. Figurative and allegorical analyses often lead to just about anything one wants to imagine. Think about it. "In the beginning God (literally) created the heavens and the earth." "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son," literally. "You shall KNOW the Truth and the Truth shall set you free." That promise is literally fulfilled when one receives Jesus as Savior and FOLLOWS HIM as Lord.
The death and resurrection of Jesus are clear and literal. Ironically, although Jesus often spoke of these events to his disciples, they didn't understand him at all!
