There is heirarchy for the angels in Heaven. The Christian heirarchy for angels is listed below. Jews, Muslims, and Zoroastrians have their own lists. 1. Seraphim 2. Cherubim 3. Thrones or Ophanim 4. Dominions or Lordships 5. Virtues or Strongholds 6. Powers or Authorities 7. Principalities or Rulers 8. Archangels 9. Angels As for men, what I have is all based on the assumption that "Jesus is King" and "Jesus is Jewish", and therefore the kingdom that he has set up in Heaven would follow the hierarchy in a Jewish monarch. 1. King 2. Queen Mother 3. Ministers (one of which is the Prime Minister) 4. Leaders of the tribes We often hear Jews speak of a "heavenly temple" or "the temple above", the true temple of which the Jerusalem temple is simply a pale counterpart. If so, then the hierarchy of this heavenly temple is as follows: c.f. 1 Chronicles 23-26 1. High Priest 2. Priests 3. Musicians 4. Gatekeepers 5. Treasurers 6. Other officials
The hierarchy in heaven, I think, is something like this: GOD, JESUS, THE HOLY SPIRIT Angels, God's messengers. Spiritual beings. The Archangel Michael. Gabriel, God's strong man. The Angels can assume human form, see Genesis 19:1-3. They are alive, Ezekiel 1:1-5, Mark 13:32. They are servants of God, Daniel 10:13, Psalm 103:20, Jude 6. Angels are holy, Revelation 14:10. The Angels guard God's throne, 1Timothy 3:16. There are numerous verses about them in the Bible. 34 books of the Bible contain references to them. I believe that The Angel of The Lord is Jesus The Christ. Exodus 20:20-23. Next in the lineup, I think would be the Cherubs. Genesis 3:24. Ezekiel 1:10. Isaiah 6:2,3 speaks of the angelic creatures that praise God continually. Some day God willing, we will all be doing just that. PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!
